Homework

New homework will be displayed in this section by Friday each week. Homework is to be completed by Wednesday the following week.

Friday 28 Nov 08

Numeracy:
This week, we have been looking at how to tell the time. Some of us have found it quite easy but it has been rather confusing for many! By the end of Year 3, the expectation is for children to be able to tell the time on an analogue clock to the nearest 5 minutes. It would be great for the children who find telling the time a bit tricky, to have regular practise with this at home.
For your homework, please complete the sheet about Time.

Times Tables:
On Wednesday, the children will be tested on their times tables. For homework, please practise the multiplication facts for the number written on the front of the homework book. The children will only be tested on the number they have been asked to learn. This number might not change every week; it depends on how quickly the children learn their facts!

Literacy:
Complete your sheet about Recipes (Instruction texts).

Spellings:
Learn to spell your list of words (Your spelling group is written on the front cover of your Homework book). Test on Wednesday.
Choose five of your spelling words and use them to write five sentences in your homework books. Make sure all of your sentences have the correct punctuation!
